Shri Sadguru Madhusudhan Maharaj

He was a disciple of Shri Keshavdutt Maharaj. He was very close to him and became the third holy man to bless Anandvan.

He became a vaishnav saint of exceptional spiritual eminence. He was a towering personality, over 6ft. tall, fair complexioned , always dressed in white , speaking little but communicating more with his sparkling eyes. One look at him would give peace to an agitated mind.

He was born in the year 1904. He became a disciple of Shri Keshavdutt Maharaj, and had unshakeable faith in his guru.

Later, towards his own disciples, he was full of love and compassion surpassing that of a mother’s.

His intense detachment, from worldly desires was matched only by his spiritual love for God. He had deep knowledge of astrology and was also a staunch nationalist. He was always deeply absorbed in chanting the name of God.

His day to day deeds and words were inspiration and spiritual education for all those around him.

He perceived himself constantly in the presences of Shri Krishna and gave the benefit, of this experience to some of his disciples as well.

Today’s Anandvan is the result of his inspiration and relentless efforts. He renovated Shri Govind Maharaj’s temple, complete with a golden kalash and constructed rooms for visiting devotees.

Though he was shy and had a low profile, he had a large following in India as well as abroad.

He predicted his date of death and made preparations accordingly. He left his body on 30 -1 – 85 sitting in a yogic position, controlling his breath and meditating on God

All those who come to Anandvan experience the bliss of the blessings, of these three great saints, and long to come again and again to seek blessings and be inspired to chant the name of God, to achieve spiritual evolution, whilst fulfilling one’s worldly duties.
